On a beautiful day in Finksburg, Maryland, Cold Saturday Farm became the backdrop for Dani and Logan’s unforgettable LGBTQ wedding celebration. From the early morning preparations to the sparkler send-off, every moment was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, showcasing the beauty of their union.
Morning Preparations
The day began early with vendors and the coordinator arriving at 9:00 AM to transform Cold Saturday Farm into a wedding wonderland. As the venue came to life, both brides and their wedding parties started their personal preparations, with hair, makeup, and dressing commencing around 9:00 AM.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as the photographer captured candid moments and stunning details in both bridal suites. By noon, a light lunch was served to keep everyone energized for the big day ahead.
Pre-Ceremony Moments
As the clock struck 12:30 PM, emotions ran high with the first looks. Dani’s bridal party had their formal photos taken, followed by Dani’s touching first look with her parent(s). An hour later, it was Logan’s turn to share a special moment with her parents, while her bridal party gathered for their formal photos.
The anticipation built as Dani and Logan prepared for their own private first look, a moment of calm before the whirlwind of the ceremony.
A Ceremony to Remember
At 2:00 PM, guests took their seats as the ceremony began. The wedding parties made their entrance to the romantic strains of “Speechless” by Dan + Shay. Then, in a unique and personal touch, Dani walked down the aisle to “Yours – Wedding Edition” by Russell Dickerson, while Logan had her own special moment with “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last playing.
The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and personalization, featuring heartfelt readings by Anne Fox and Kevin Mirando. As the officiant pronounced them married, the newlyweds shared their first kiss as a married couple to the joyous sounds of “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole.
Celebration Time
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the cocktail hour area, enjoying drinks and appetizers while the newlyweds and their families posed for formal photos. The reception kicked off at 4:00 PM with a grand entrance that had everyone on their feet.
The couple’s first dance to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri set the tone for an evening filled with love and celebration. Dinner was served buffet-style, with a special cupcake dessert table that had guests coming back for seconds.
Heartfelt Speeches and Special Dances
The evening was punctuated by touching speeches from the best man, Brandon Fallon, and the maid of honor, Dakota Scott. Dani’s mom, Tammy Nicholson, also shared some words of wisdom and love. The newlyweds then took a moment to express their gratitude to all their guests.
Special dances followed, with Logan and her father, Charles Fox, swaying to “Yours” by Post Malone, while Dani and her mom, Tammy Nicholson, shared a tender moment to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.
Fun and Games
Adding a playful touch to the evening, the Wedding Shoe Game had everyone in stitches as Dakota and Brandon quizzed the newlyweds about their relationship. It was a delightful way to showcase the couple’s personalities and the love they share.
A Sparkling Send-Off
As the night drew to a close, guests lined up with sparklers in hand. To the upbeat rhythm of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder, Dani and Logan made their grand exit, marking the beginning of their new life together.
Dani and Logan’s LGBTQ wedding at Cold Saturday Farm was more than just a ceremony; it was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and new beginnings. Every carefully planned detail, from the personalized music selections to the heartfelt speeches, created an unforgettable day that will be cherished for years to come. Their union stands as a testament to the power of love and the progress made in recognizing and celebrating LGBTQ relationships.
